Den Blå Planet in Denmark

Hi lovies!  Happy hump day!

I thought I would share another fun day from our Euro trip.  I feel like I still have sooo many more fun days to talk about and never the time to upload the pics to do it!! I promise I will stop being such a slacker lol.  This day was a perfect family day.  We went with my husbands cousin, Christian, and his wife and 2 girls.  It was a fun thing to do on the overcast day.  It was an aquarium filled with some pretty cool tropical fish.  Everything had the option of being read in Danish and in English so I wasn’t completely out of the loop!  Here are some fun pictures we took to capture the day.  Its a nice spot to check out if you are visiting for an extended period of time and especially if you have kids!  I would have to say that my favorite exhibit was seeing the piranha tank!  They are such crazy and pretty little fish, to think they are so dangerous is just mind blowing!

Outfit Details:

I opted for a comfy outfit this day. I found this tank tops at a boutique in NYC it was perfect for this trip.  I got it in black and white, similar here and here.  I opted for my comfy ripped jeans (similar here) and adidas sneakers.  This bag was also a favorite for me on this trip, perfect size and cross body (found similar here)!

Neon Summer

Hi loves!

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! I got to celebrate my birthday Saturday with a few of my friends and we had so much fun! We went to a NY Mets game (and they won!!) and then out to a nice dinner and drinks.  I am so exhausted from it, still!  The older I get the less able I am to go out til late haha.  Oh the joys of aging!

I am so excited we are finally getting into warm weather.  I have been SO pumped that our Euro trip is around the corner and I have been buying items here and there for the trip.  I have always loved bright fun colors for the summer time and these few items I just couldn’t pass up and thought I would share!

Lilac Festival & New Hair

Hiya Dolls!

I have been slacking big time lately.  I just wish I had unlimited amounts of time to really post all the fun things I have planned out!  Hopefully that will be changing soon though.  I hope you are all having a great week and happy hump day!  I thought I would share some fun pictures from this past weekend.  I went back home to visit with my family and celebrate Mother’s Day!  In Rochester they were having the Lilac festival, lilacs were not really in bloom but I just love all the vendors (and the other flowers) and it was a 70 degree day so why not?  I love this denim dress I found at Gap the other day, and every new item in the store was also 40% off so how could I say no?!

Beach getaway outfits

Hi all!

I hope all of you are having a great week so far!  I thought a post about a beach was needed since this “spring” has been rather cold here in NY lately.  I mean it snowed the other day…and they are calling for possible snow again this Saturday?! Ugh, I just need to dream of beaches to get me through this haha.

Well my hubby and I officially booked our summer vaca!! We are going to Denmark (to visit family) and since we are able to go for 3 weeks we decided to wrap in Italy and Iceland to the trip (I am so pumped!).  So we will do some swimming and beach days while in Copenhagen but we are going to Rome and Amalfi Coast in Italy (beach attire all day!) so I thought this post would be perfect.  I need to find some super cute outfits for the beach, day as well as nights out on the town and love all of these options.

Happy hump day friends!! I hope everyone had a nice long weekend, I sure did.  I actually had a fun trip to Cleveland to visit my sister! It was so great spending time with her, I hate how far away she lives from me 😦 . Snow Day Outfit

Hi loves!

I hope everyone had a great weekend and Happy Monday :).  If you were on the east coast I know you were most likely snowed in!  I loved having a snowy weekend.  Tom and I just stayed in and watched movies and cuddled, my favorite thing to do on the weekends when its nasty outside LOL.  We also got a chance to make a bunch of healthy meals and juice a lot.  It was crazy on Saturday and then Sunday came around and the snow stopped and it was so sunny and nice out, so we decided to do a little photo shoot.  I love nothing more then wearing my giant warm Sorel boots, big comfy sweaters and scarves.  Tom got me this scarf in the pictures for Christmas, its made of recycled cashmere from a woman who hand makes them all to order at a cute little shop in Peekskill.  These mirrored sunglasses are so great, you must check out ZeroUv.com, they have awesome prices and really cute options.  I also thought it would be fun to show off one of my favorite hairstyles.  I just love braids (especially fishtails!) and they are such an easy way to add a little something extra to any outfit! I hope you all have a great week and enjoy your Monday!

Starting the New Year Out Right!

How was everyone’s Christmas and New Years?!  NYE was a ton of fun for us.  Tom and I got to spend it upstate with a bunch of our friends.  Nothing better then bringing in the New Year with your loves!

I always get super excited about a New Year.  Something about it feeling like a fresh start seems to get me in such a good mood.  I know each year presents its own challenges but I love being able to start out with a clear head and new goals for the year ahead. 2015 was a tough one for us.  My father-in-law, Fred, passed away just a few weeks shy of our 1 year wedding anniversary.  It was a very emotional time, full with lots of changes as well.  My mother-in-law, Birgit, passed away 4 years ago so Fred’s passing was sort of the end of a lot of different things, or the positive flip on that is the beginning of so many new things.  We had to say goodbye to his parents house, in the town that all of his friends family still live.  It was a very eye opening experience.  Although 2015 was a sad year for us, we cannot say that the entire year was awful.  We got to take our honeymoon in the Dominican Republic, which was so amazing! We also got to see the Met’s go to the world series and even got to see a game at Citi Field! We also got to spend a lot of time with family and loved ones, something that you can never put a price tag on! I like to think that each year has ups and downs, some worse than others, but its what molds us and makes us who we are.

I know we have some changes ahead, not sure what they are yet since we are still working things out, but I know whatever path we end up going down it will be super exciting!

Did any of you make a New Years resolution??!  I did, aside from the usual, getting my butt back into shape and living a healthier life, Tom and I plan to make the most of this year.  We want to start crossing things off our big bucket list, travel around the area we live more and once the weather gets nice try to do as many fun outdoor activities as we can!

I wish all of you a wonderful 2016, full of positive changes and love!
