Staple item…Denim shorts

Hi dolls!

Happy hump day.  In just a few short days it will be a long weekend (and July already!) so crazy.  I just cannot wait for this long weekend.  Tom and I are going to escape to the Adirondacks for some fun outdoorsy activities.  Our friend has a cabin on a lake up there, this could not have come at a better time!  Toms schedule has been crazy town so it will be nice to see friends and relax a bit this weekend.  Plus, it is really our last weekend to do anything and see people before our trip! The following weekend is the weekend before we leave which will be full of all the last minute shopping and packing we will need to do since we leave that following Friday, right after work!  I cannot believe how fast the time has gone by!  Any fun plans for this long weekend??

Now onto this post.  I just love denim shorts, you can dress them up or down and they go with just about anything.  I really need to get some new ones for this trip and came across these great deals and thought I would share.  You can never have too many denim shorts, right??collage

Happy Hump Day!

I hope you all had a nice weekend, weather was amazing! I just love the heat (I know some think that is so crazy) but I really do.  Put me outside in the sun (preferably near a body of water, or sprinkler lol) and I am so happy and content.  Something about how relaxing it is just makes me happy.

Hi Loves, TGIF!

So excited the weekend is almost here! This week crawled by even though it was rather busy.  I am looking forward to making my way back home for Father’s Day.  It will be so nice seeing the family!  Any fun plans for the weekend?!

As you know, if you have been following my posts, I am getting ready for a fun Euro trip in 4 short weeks! So as you can imagine my mind has been on what cute outfits I can buy and come up with for each day of the trip haha.  I have been in love with wedges lately.  I thought it would be fun to post some of my favorites that I have been eyeing for this trip.  I like to get wedges that can double for day and night and are comfy, casual and easy to match with most outfits.  That way a couple pairs of wedges can be worn with a few different outfits.  I am also loving espadrilles lately too!

Travel Essentials

Hi loves! Happy Thursday 🙂 I hope your weeks are all flying by.  Since I am in such a travel mindset (with out trip only 36 Days away!-and yes I have a countdown app) I thought it would be fun to round up some ideal travel items that I will be getting for our trip.

We are flying from NYC to Copenhagen, which is a 7 or so hour flight, and I need to make sure I have all I could possibly need to be comfortable.  We all know airplanes are not ideal places to sleep and they do not provide really any comfort.  I have some items I love to bring with me to try and make the flight as enjoyable as possible.  I always freeze on flights so when we fly during the summer I make sure to wear layers and I always wear sandals and bring socks! During our trip we will be taking a 5 day excursion to Italy (and only bringing carry-ons) so I have been on the hunt for the perfect bag (regulation size for all 3 airlines we are taking-they vary believe it or not!) and I finally found one that I wanted to share with you guys.  I actually got mine in a different print and it was on sale for half price on Vera Bradley.

Floral dress date night

Hi loves! I hope everyone had a fabulous weekend.  Honestly, Tom and I had plans to do a bunch of things around the apartment and we ended up catching up on sleep and relaxing most of it instead!  Yesterday it was so rainy and I love nothing more then having the windows open and listening to the rain, its SO calming.  So overall we had a great weekend even if we didn’t get done the things we wished to do, there is always next weekend 🙂

We did go out Saturday night for a little Mexican dinner in town.  I decided to get dressed up in this cute floral sleeveless turtleneck dress I bought that has an open back (pictures above).  I decided to wear a cute fitted, strappy, crop top underneath it to complete the look.  I also did a fun braid in my hair to change it up from my usual down and wavy look.  I got my dress at a little boutique in the city but I found a couple cute ones that have the same sort of style that I found here:

Hi dolls! TGIF! I hope everyone enjoyed a nice short week.  I loved having Monday off, I think that should be the new norm, especially since Monday is by far the worst day of the week LOL.  It made this week fly by!  The weather over the holiday weekend was GORGEOUS in NY, lots of activities outside which is always a plus!

I thought I would end the week with some staple items.  I love go to outfits that are cute but also casual and comfortable.  I just love a good t-shirt and jeans and I thought these accessories were perfect as well.  You can never go wrong with a cute choker necklace and a nice light lip color!
