Ipsy Glam Bag for October

My glam bag…minus the fun colored tweezers I got-forgot them at home!

I love this time of the month! It is like a mini Christmas each month and for only $10, it is so worth it.  I got my bag just a couple of days ago and have already tried most of the products I received and thought I would share my opinions on them!

I am such a snob when it comes to my lashes.  If I had the time I would have lash extensions all the time but I haven’t figured out how to make that possible yet.  Until then I need to find the perfect mascara which is another reason why the Glam Bag is so amazing.  I get to try different mascaras and not feel buyers remorse by spending $20+ and not liking it.  I of course was super excited to try this mascara by It Cosmetics.  I really like the wand and the formula seems to go on really nice, I did notice that it lengthened my lashes a lot as well.  I feel like I had some left over mascara still on my eyes when I tried it so I plan on trying it again tomorrow and really making sure I have all makeup off my lashes.  They call this one Hello Lashes and the brush design is unique in that is has a ball at the end which makes it easier to separate the lashes and as they say “go vertical” which helps provide more length.  You can find this 5-1, clinically proven to lengthen lash mascara, here.  They also are giving an offer from 10/1-11/30 where you can get 20% off your order of $25 or more and free shipping when you use promo code ITLOVEIPSY. I would definitely recommend trying this one!

I also received the Meet Matt(e) Hughes liquid lipstick by theBalm.  The full size is $17 on their site and they offer 20% off with promo code IPSY20.  I really like this liquid lipstick and the color that I received.  It goes on really easy and turns into a pretty matte finish.  It also has a wonderful vanilla mint scent and makes your lips feel great when you first put it on.  After wearing it for a little bit I did feel that the matte was a little too much for me.  A bit on the dry side and I felt the need to keep rubbing my lips together, which did nothing.  I then went and put some gloss on top of it to moisturize it a bit.  I think it is something you need to get used to.  If the look you want to achieve is the matte finish then this is great, you just need to be prepared for it making your lips feel a tad dry.

I also got Emite make up’s professional tweezers in this fun bright pink color. You can also get them at their site for 20% off with code IPSY20.  The reason I do not have them pictured is because I left them on my vanity since I used the tweezers this morning.  They work great, it is funny I was actually in need of getting new tweezers and just kept forgetting.  Perfect timing!  I also discovered that Emite is a Scandinavian brand, my husband is part Danish and we have all of his family in Denmark so I always pay notice to brands from Denmark or Sweden.

The face scrub and hair mask that I received I plan on trying tonight so I can give an update on those later.

Do you get an Ipsy Glam Bag? If so, let me know what your favorite products were!

Thanks for stopping by 🙂
